What an absolutely incredible match we all got to witness yesterday!๐ Carlos and Jannik gave us probably the most intense and spectacular showdown of the 21st century๐คฏ Carlosโs comebacks were just brilliant. Jannik had so many chances to close it out and take the trophy, but every time, Alcaraz pushed harder, fought back, and the match went on!๐ฎ It felt like when Carlos clawed his way back in the fifth set from 5โ3 down, Jannikโs spirit cracked a little โ thatโs why the tiebreak ended up so one-sided. And u could clearly see that Jannik was more exhausted physically than Carlitos๐ฐ And poor Jannikโs mom โ it was heartbreaking to watch her reactions the whole match. U could feel her pain! Also, I have to say โ this tradition of making the runner-up give a speech feels so cruel! I canโt imagine speaking after a loss like that๐ญ What else can I say? Iโm blown away by this Roland-Garros! Itโs probably the first tournament I followed so closely, and I really felt all the drama and intensity!๐ฎ๐ฅฐ I absolutely loved it!๐ฅณ๐ And of course, Iโm so happy for Carlitos โ though I was cheering for Jannik too.
