As I have found that we are already 6 weeks into February, I thought about do I like the trajectory I am on this year? If not, how can I make adjustments that will put me on track?
I couldnât remember what my âwordâ for the year was. I like having that âwordâ because it refocuses me when life becomes overwhelming or I feel I have too many options and directions to go.
I flipped immediately in my journal to the day I was praying and the word âdeterminationâ came to me.
It defeats doubt, discouragement, distraction and most importantly for me, âDidâ God really say that?!
That last âDâ question is often a big tripping spot for me. The reason is, much of my determination comes from what I believe God has called me to do. It is not typical and it doesnât fit neatly into a category. Pastor Jim calls me a pioneer. Well, that requires determination AND if I doubt my mission or ask myself the age-old snake in the garden question âDid God really say thatâ....well then I question myself, stop the mission temporarily and spin around looking for validation and wait to âfeelâ better again.
So, my trajectory has to be set knowing that in the Secret Place with God (my mornings in quiet when I am most focused and still before God) I received my calling and then set out with determination. Shoot down the doubts and discouragements that come from people or physical pain.
What is your trajectory this year? It is NOT too late to reset it!
