So you guys remember a little while back when I reviewed that Tomar-Re Romat-Ru head two-pack? Well it kinda feels like it might have been intended to go originally go along with this pack⦠hell, one of them is literally on their collectors card artwork!

MrJ was going Yellow Lantern crazy back in 2024, and produced this nifty parts-pack of some popular members. Including but not limited to⦠(deep breath)
Evil Hal Jordan
The Joker (yawn)
Tri-Eye (yes thatās actually his name)
Dez Trevius (the grumpy blond fella that⦠I think is canonically a red lantern now(?))
and finallyā¦
Low (the blue tube mouth guy)
Tri-Eye is probably the weakest of all the head designs, so I think Iāll chat about him firstā¦

Thereās something about MrJās translation of the character to Lego that feels more like theyād taken a render of an action figure, burrowed an hollow neck peg into it, and called it a day! This thing looks nothing like Lego!
The eyes could have been designed to look more like standard minifig pupils. The fleshy texturework could have been smoothed out and removed entirely. The back could have been squared up and simplified to some more rudimentary shapes.
Frankly, it just dosnāt look good š¤·š»āāļø

Low was the other alien head that again could have been simplified a little. It doesn't bug me as much though, because its base concept is already pretty simple. Blue worm head! Easy, right?
I just wish MrJ wouldnāt have included some many crinkled wrinkly bits. I mean sure, it still looks miles ahead of Tri-Eye, but again doesn't quite capture the āLego feelingā. I think it just needed to be smoother maybe? Simplify MrJ! Simplify!

Jokerās face was also a little overdesigned. Something about the tightness and small size of the teeth and wrinkles. Even his eyes feel a bit too tiny. Also as most of you know, I canāt stand The Joker as a character so for me⦠that's a meh.
Halās face meanwhile is fine. Heās also just a tinge too detailed and winkly for me. But in the narrative context thatās heās an āevil version of himselfā this over-design actually makes the face look a bit better. Itās a shame thereās not an alternate angry face with teeth showing, but instead, the preorder production costs went towards making Tri-Eye š¤·š»āāļø

Last but not least, itās Dex (on the main fig itself)!
Probably the best of all the designs because of those neat custom parts! His hair is nice and looks evil and spindly! Surprisingly not that over-detailed in my opinion (shocker, I know!). It feels a bit reserved compared to some of the other custom stuff weāve looked at so far in this pack, ironically.

Heās also got his neat Yakuza inspired mask construct thatās easily the coolest piece of this entire pack! Itās nice and transparent! Matches well with official Lego Trans-Yellow ABS materials, and fits well with his hair!
Good stuff!
But uhā¦. now finally we get to the minifig⦠and weeeelllll⦠well itās missing some ink in some crucial places. Most notably being the shoulders, and #IncompleteLegs! š

I mean⦠yikes š¬

Itās a shame too, because the general design of this fig is overall really great until you pose it or look at it from like... most angles.
I suppose the lack of printed yellow shoulders isnāt a problem if you use Lowās big worm head head to cover it all. But using quite literally any other head, you see the bare black plastic. Itās actually a real pain in the butt if you ask me.

I quite like the incorporation of silver for the belt! Itās bright and shiny and looks pretty dang good wrapping all the way around the torso. Two steps forward, one step back... the printing alignment isn't all the clean though...
The armband is also an often omitted detail on Yellow Lantern figs that I appreciate seeing here! Honestly it's one of the few redeeming qualities of this parts-pack.

Outside of those two nicer areas attempting to distract us⦠thereās a lot more missing ink here than Iād like to say Iām content with⦠Because at $95⦠I donāt know dude⦠it feels fair enough for all the stuff you get. Plus if you have some other Official Lego torsos laying around, you can boost your Sinestro Corps by a few new members just using he heads.
But yeah⦠itās not the best weāve seen from MrJ, that much is trueā¦
